Hey friends,
This week's framework is going to focus on 3 simple tasks to make every day worthwhile.
It is easy to only focus on our lives as a whole.
Putting our thoughts towards our future and past, rather than the present.
We tell ourselves that we have years to live, so one day will not change our overall outcome.
This leads us to procrastinate on building a life we love.
Wasting even a single day is not something to be taken lightly.
We are not promised tomorrow, yet we live like we are.
So, I asked myself “what could I do daily to have the most positive effect on my life in the long run?”
This lead me to create a list of actions that I thought would make a day great.
I then weighed them against what I would do to make the worst day possible.
After searching through this list, 3 ideas stood out the most.
There will always be other obligations that you will have to do throughout the day.
As you complete those, figure out how you can implement these ideas as well.
Do Something Difficult
Stress is often viewed as negative.
Yet, it is the only currency to create positive change.
Difficulty allows us to push our boundaries and understand what we are capable of.
It provides an opportunity to learn from our failures, or to be propelled by our successes.
Aim for something that is not too easy, and not too hard.
For each person, this will be different.
For some, it may be waking up in the morning at a reasonable time.
For others, it may be taking steps to make your company run more efficiently.
Be careful to not compare yourself to others.
Identify a level of difficulty you are capable of achieving and start there.
Make sure to expand your difficulty levels to your whole life, not only your work life.
📖 Learn something new
🗯️ Have hard conversations
😓 Seek the uncomfortable
Serve Someone Else
Serving others helps us realize that we are not alone in our hardships.
It makes us more aware of others and their struggles.
By doing this daily, we can create relationships with more depth.
This will lead to creating a community of people that want the best for you.
Serving others will continue to benefit you in the future.
If you help someone now, they are more likely to help you in the future.
Although, this shouldn’t be our primary goal when helping others.
But, the law of reciprocation is built into us as humans and should be used to our advantage.
You have the power to make someone else’s day.
So, why wouldn’t you?
👂 Listen

Movement
Exercise will increase your overall health - physical and mental.
On days that I fail to complete any movement, I feel sluggish and slow in my thought process.
Every day doesn’t have to be a crazy intense workout.
But, even 10-20 minutes of daily activity will benefit you throughout the day.
Find what works for you and start with that.
Then, continue to explore other forms of movement.
Have fun with it!
🏋️ Weightlifting
🧘 Yoga / Stretching
🏃 Walk / Jog / Run
⛹️ Sports
🥊 Fitness classes
Use these ideas to create a perfect day for yourself, or swap out actions that you find more useful.
There are many other options, but for me, these were the top 3 that came to mind.
If I completed these tasks every day, I would view the day as a success.
Everyone has the same amount of time in the day, so take advantage of the time you are given.
