Hey Friends,
In the last 4 months, I’ve gained 17 lbs of muscle (I don't say this to gloat, but rather, to show you it's possible).
Today, I’m going to show you how to do it & give you a tool to stay consistent.
If you’re tired of tracking your workouts in your Notes app, or if you’re not tracking them at all - I got something for you…
I was looking for a tool to track my workouts for so long, and couldn't find one that I thought was worthwhile. This lead me to create my own.
Notion document incoming!
🏋️ Progressive Overload for the Body
If you have ever gotten into working out, you may have heard this term before. But what is it really?
Progressive overload is making each workout a little bit harder. This can be done by increasing an exercise's weight, repetitions, sets, or intensity over time. By continually challenging the body with more difficult exercises, the body is forced to grow stronger.
This leads us to tracking exercises. But before we talk about the free product I made for you - let's see how this can idea can be used outside of the gym as well…
🧠 Progressive Overload for the Mind
How can we use this idea in our lives, other than in the gym?
Look for ways that you can use this framework in your daily life. Ask yourself: “What do I want to improve in my life?” Then, start to do that tasks more often, and with greater intensity.
For me, this is writing. So, I have been increasing the amount of time that I write daily or increasing the intensity of my writing. I do this by exploring ideas in more depth & studying great writers.
What's important to you?
- Work: focus on putting more energy into tasks that give the greatest outcomes.
- Relationships: make more calls to people you love & increase the depth of conversation
- Self-development: read one more page per day or apply the information more intensely.
You get the point…
