Hey Friend!
Today is the one-year anniversary of my first post on this website!
Thank you for the support that you’ve shown me throughout this year. I couldn’t have done it without you.
It has been a wild ride writing in public.
When I started, I had no idea how to build a website or what it meant to write online.
For the first few months, I only had 3 readers and I was so scared to tell people about what I was doing. I would only post every few weeks and it would take me hours and hours to write something that I thought was valuable.
It all changed when one day, I committed to posting every Friday. For the last 40-ish weeks, I’ve been sending out a weekly email.
But to be honest… I’ve almost quit many times.
I fell into the trap of focusing on external metrics rather than my guiding purpose.
Last week, I had to remind myself that…
I started this website to help others create lives they love living. To give them ideas to build a meaningful and authentic life. I plan to do this by exploring my curiosities of business, health, & personal philosophy.
So from here on out I’m committing to becoming a professional writer.
“What the hell does that even mean, Rocky…?”
It means I show up daily to work on this craft. To take it seriously and put everything I have into it. I’ve failed at this before… waiting until the night before to write a newsletter.
Those days are over.
I urge you to do the same. If you’re passionate about something in your life, decide today that you will become a pro (it could be your job or a side project… the opportunities are endless). Get started and prepare yourself for adversity.
There is no time to waste.
Stay curious my friends,

🔮 The Circle of Curiosity
📚 Book: “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield
This book is the reason I’ve chosen to become a “pro.” Steven Pressfield touches on resistance in our daily lives and how to overcome it. My favorite quote from this book is, “Don’t cheat the world of your contribution.” I don’t plan to and I hope you don’t either.
🎧 Podcast: Huberman Lab Podcast
Andrew Huberman is one of my favorite scientists! He gives actionable advice about behavioral health and science-based tools. He has had such an impact on my life. I like to think I would have been something like him if I attended med school :)!
📕 Long-Term Lifting
People don’t take care of their bodies until it’s too late. This is why 48% of yearly deaths are “preventable.” The good news is that the solution is easier than you think. If you’re ready to take your health seriously, download my newest e-book (it’s free!)
