25 Years of Wisdom

Newsletter

Hey friend!

Okay… I lied.

Today’s my birthday!

But please don’t call me to sing Happy Birthday…

Instead, check out the 3 most important lessons I learned in my 25th year of life!

😎 Confidence Comes From Experience

I used to spend all day reading biographies of great entrepreneurs that built multibillion-dollar companies.

Their stories inspired me, but never enough to feel confident in starting my own business.

It all changed when I took my first small step.

For only $300 and 60 minutes of my time, I was able to (legally) register my first company with the great state of Texas.

Boom. I was now a business owner.

But to be honest, that didn’t change much on the outside.

We were still pretty much in the same spot as before.

But there was something different about me…I had a spark of confidence.

If I could do one small thing, I could do another.

Soon, all of these tiny actions snowballed and I started to see real progress.

We’re still a long way from having a “successful” company, but there is no doubt in my mind that it is possible.

Sometimes all you need is a small step to get you started.

📚 Stay Curious (But Not Distracted)

We live in the age of information and can access the thoughts and ideas of almost anyone to that has ever lived.

But does that mean we should?

I used to listen to audiobooks and podcasts almost every waking hour of the day.

Productivity at its finest!

Or so I thought…

Filling your head with new information all day is great, but only so much is helpful.

I’ve started to take some time every day to be without distraction.

Silence is powerful.

It allows you to process your thoughts and gives you the ability to create your own new ideas.

Try it and see for yourself.

🚘 Take Your Foot Off the Brakes

Most people only talk about creating good habits.

But there’s another side to it.

Bad habits.

Even if you create 2 new good habits, 1 bad habit can still hold you back.

Think of habits like a car…

Good habits = gas.

Bad habits = brakes.

You can keep one foot on the gas, but if the other foot is on the brakes, you’re not going to move very far.

This year, I started to identify my bad habits and get rid of them little by little (even ones I had been doing for years).

If I can do it, you can too.

Thanks for reading!

Get ready for next week, I'll be releasing the first draft of my E-book to the readers here at the Friday Framework!

Stay Tuned.
