Ancient Wisdom That You Can Start Using Today

Business

Hey Friend!

2,418 years ago, the smartest man in the world lived in Athens.

He would walk the streets all day asking people questions.

He asked about ethics, self-examination, and knowledge.

Yet he claimed to know nothing…

People didn’t appreciate this.

His questions would reveal how little they knew about their answers.

It got to the point that he was put to death for his actions. He was accused of corrupting the youth.

Really, he was just making them think for themselves, rather than just accepting what they were told as factual.

And for this reason, his story was solidified in time.

But can we still learn from him today?

Let’s fast forward to 2023…

I was a born introvert, but I used to be even more shy than I am today.

I didn’t talk a lot because I was nervous about sounding dumb or saying the wrong thing.

One single moment changed that all.

Sales.

It made me have to speak to people and keep them engaged in our conversation.

And what’s the best way to keep others engaged?

Ask questions!

I still don’t always have something to say, but I always have something to ask

I discovered the power of questions.

Now, I use questions daily, to:

  • Explore new ideas
  • Conversate / Persuade
  • Understand what I truly believe

Questions help you be curious about the world.

The depth of your knowledge will align with the depth of your questions.

Socrates was thought of as the smartest man in the world, for just asking questions.

He died because of it.

That’s power.

You now know this ancient wisdom, will you use it?
