Hey Friend,

Sometimes I have no idea what to write to you.

A few hundred words a week doesn’t sound like a big deal.

But it can be tough.

I want to share powerful ideas with you, weekly — but sometimes it doesn’t come out right.

The story I was going to share today needs more time.

I usually have a backup…but not today.

So instead, I’m going to tell you about a journey I went on yesterday.

It all started when my friend called me and told me, “I’m going to be a father…

He asked me to go on a road trip with him to meet his son.

Everything seemed to happen so fast, but I agreed to go along with him.

An air of excitement and nervousness filled the car as we made our way through the plains of West Texas.

The endless blue of the sky extended for miles.

Below it, sat shrubs clinging to the dry ground.

The sun covered everything in its path.

As we pulled into the parking lot, my friend had an expression that I hadn’t seen often.

It was one of a man who knew his life was about to change forever.

We rushed out of the car and in the hands of the breeder… we saw his son for the first time.

Meet Theodore :)

🔮 The Circle of Curiosity

📚 Book: Dune by Frank Herbert

My girlfriend recommended this book to me and I was nervous to read it at first because I had already seen the movie. Within the first 100 pages, it has already become one of my favorite books. It gives so much more depth to the characters and their motives. A reminder that the book is ALWAYS better than the movie! ;)

🎧 Podcast: Philosophize This!

A great podcast recommended by one of my friends. Stephen West gives a great breakdown of specific philosophers and their beliefs. He even incorporates modern ideas with old teachings and shows how they’re relevant today. A go-to listen on long car rides!

That’s all for today!

Thanks for reading,
